I have been an affiliate for a year but making very few sales. How can I make good commissions? Please help!

You may already be in business and, for one reason or another, you’ve decided that you would rather do the affiliating on your own. Or, if you’re just getting started, you may have the independent spirit that tells you to do it for yourself or not to do it at all. In either case, you can start your own affiliate program to market your products on the internet. Let’s look at how it can be done.
The first thing you will need to do is decide what websites out there will offer the type of traffic that would want to buy what you’re selling. If your in business selling power tools, you wouldn’t want to contact a website that discusses pets. This just wouldn’t be a good choice as an affiliate marketer. You would be far better off choosing websites whose subject matter is comparable to your merchandise. A website discussing mechanics, or construction, would be a far better lead for you to follow. It’s all about matching like for like and creating a list of potential affiliate marketers.

I consider Amazon.com to be the Internet pioneer for establishing affiliate programs. Their strategy to permit others to sell their products for a commission on affiliate websites has single-handedly help them become an Internet powerhouse and has resulted in Amazon.com becoming a household name.
So i have gotten started in affiliate marketing, i don’t want to go all out and spend money on ppc or my own domain or anything like that as im not going to be doing this for a living just for a little extra cash, so i have decided im just going to write articles and submit them to different sites. The problem is i have no idea where to start. Like lets go with i’m trying to sell an e-book on “learning to play the guitar” Should i write up my own pitch page on why they should buy this or is it better to give information on the guitar lead them into learning it (very basic) and say if they want to learn to play more they should buy this. Any suggestions on whats the best to do?
