Getting A Wealthy Affiliate ? Should I Join this Membership, claimed to be #1 Online ?

Maybe difficult to answer if you are NOT a Member there, but I have seen this website

and the Wealthy Affiliate University seams to be a great place.
(By the way, this guy gives a huge amount of eBooks for Free, more then usual.)
The downside: you have the 30.- Fee per month, but looks like they give a lot of stuff for Free like Hosting, Websites and so on – that can compensate the monthly fee I guess.
Question:
should I take the “learning” approach and join Wealthy Affiliate to learn how to market ?
Or is it better to buy some of the latest released eBooks who show me a easy way to make money Online ?
P.S. Fact is that I already tryed some eBooks, but they didn’t made me any money at all. In fact I lost some with Google Adwords. That was very frustrating as I hate to loose money.
Thank you for any advice, I really am interested in Internet Marketing but need some direction.

eBooks? anyone can write one — what makes a book valuable is that the person who wrote it actually has experience or insight that you can profit from. that means that they’ve already proven the methods work. so where’s the proof??
Remember the rule of thumb in business, if I can make money online, why would I sell you a program on how to make money online if I can gross all the profit to myself??? I will sell you a program on how to make money… because that’s how they make money…….. selling you a program!
There are no short cuts, if you find one let me know.
i have seen alot of these around… research research. thats all i can say…. have you checked into something like this, helped me out, thats forsure.

I have been a member of Wealthy Affiliate since November 2007 and I have to say thank god I found it.
I did the same thing as you, I bought an e-book and tried to do Google Adwords using this information alone and unfortunately I only made a few sales and lost more than I made. The reason is most people go about Adwords the wrong way and a $40 e-book is simply not enough information to help you succeed with Internet Marketing.
But to answer your question, it is really better for you to ”learn” with Wealthy Affiliate because as you may have seen you get ”coaching” from the Wealthy Affiliates themselves. I have used them a few times and they are never nasty or rude or think my question is too stupid or daft. Really both Kyle and Carson(The Wealthy Affiliates) are very friendly and helpful.
Not only the coaching, but the tutorials, 8 week plan, Forum, Hosting(3 websites altogether) and yes Site Rubix website creator are included in the package.
Since you’ve admitted that you have lost some money through using e-books, then perhaps a change of tactics is necessary?

Don’t listen to the guy who said this, because he doesn’t know anything about Wealthy Affiliate. Sure they do make a lot of money off this site, but they are teaching you how to make money with affiliate marketing. There are millions of products you could sell online, they only way that statement would make sense is if Kyle and Carson, the owners of WA, figured out a way to sell every product available and didn’t want any competition. The fact is, there is room for just about anyone to make money with affiliate marketing, so if they can make money marketing and make money teaching others how to do it then why not do both?
WA is a month to month membership site, you do not need to sign up for a year, you can cancel anytime. Yet members stay. Why? Because WA is worth 30 dollars a month. If it was a scam and did not help, all the members would leave after their first month, the forums would be filled with newbies and would be useless. But the forums are amazing, you will get a lot of your help there. Clearly you have done your research on WA and know what they offer, training guides, free hosting, web site builder, templates, feeder sites, 8 week start up course…

I’ve been a member of Wealthy Affiliate for about 5 months now and it was the best decision I made.
Like you I was a bit worried about the $30 a month fee’s but very soon after a I joined I was earning enough money to cover that, and now after five months I have learnt so much and I am earning more and more each day.
While I’m still not making that $1,000′s per day that some members are making, I probably average around $100 per day but it’s growing all the time and I think that’s pretty good for a newbie.
I’ve also made a 10 page report that you can have for free that has screenshots of some of the things that you get inside Wealthy Affiliate as a member if you think it would help you make a decision.
